Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI), a leading developer in VisMin, broadens its presence in the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) tourism sector with the inauguration of Citadines Bacolod City. This 200-room hotel is CLI’s first venture outside Cebu City and holds the title of Bacolod’s largest international hotel.
With the VisMin tourism industry on a growth trajectory, CLI is poised to capitalize on this upswing with the launch of six additional hotels in the next two years.
“Our hospitality business is projected to grow as our portfolio now boasts over 1700 keys. Our hotels have shown strong performance in the first quarter of 2024, with a year-on-year revenue increase of 37%. The introduction of Citadines Bacolod City, coupled with our three operational hotels in Cebu, will undoubtedly bolster this growth,” stated Jose Soberano III, CLI Chairman and CEO.
Citadines Bacolod City, a P2 billion project of CCLI Premier Hotels, is operated by The Ascott Limited. This joint venture of CLI and Capitaine Inc. is spearheaded by Alec Lustre, the company President.
Mathias Bergundthal, Director of Asset of CLI Hotels and Resorts, expressed excitement for the opening of Bacolod City’s largest international hotel. The hotel boasts five amenity areas, five food and beverage outlets, a business lounge, and conference rooms.
Citadines Bacolod City features a 1000-sqm convention center with a pillarless ballroom, ideal for corporate or non-commercial events. “Our ballroom can host up to 650 guests, and we will start accepting MICE event bookings from July 2024,” Bergundthal added.
Strategically located along Lacson Avenue, Citadines Bacolod City is a mere 30-minute drive from the Bacolod-Silay airport and the North Bus Terminal. It is conveniently close to major tourist attractions and popular spots in Bacolod.
The hotel offers three room types at introductory rates: Studio Deluxe at P4000 per night, Studio Premiere at P4500 per night, and 1 Bedroom Deluxe at P5800 per night. These rates include breakfast for two, wifi access, use of recreational facilities, daily housekeeping, and complimentary parking. Guests availing of these rates will also receive a 20% discount on all food and beverage outlets.
CLI currently operates three hotels in Cebu City: Citadines Cebu City with 180 rooms, lyf Cebu City with 159 rooms, and The Pad Co-Living with 258 rooms. The company is also set to complete Citadines Paragon Davao with 263 rooms and Radisson Red with 144 rooms by the end of 2024. Construction and development are underway for Sofitel Cebu City, Abaca Resort Mactan, Mercure Cebu Downtown, and Magspeak Mountain Resort & Villas.
“With four operational hotels and six more to be launched in the next two years, these 10 CLI hotels in key VisMin areas are set to fuel the company’s future hospitality revenue growth,” Bergundthal concluded.
