LOVE Island star Davide Sanclimenti has paid tribute to the new love in his life – and made subtle digs at ex Ekin-Su in the process.
The former reality TV winner has taken a swipe at ex-girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu as he marked Valentine's Day.
Davide gushed: "Happy Valentine's Day to the most romantic woman I've ever met. Since being with you, I learned what a 'monthsary' is.
"You're the most kind and genuine person. We were supposed to meet as friends, but from that first 'friendly date,' we've been inseparable.
"I loved that you didn't know who I was. You love deeply because you've been through a lot and that made me want to protect you.
"Thank you for believing in me, for bringing out my best and for being someone who pushes me to grow.
"True love is wonderful because it doesn't destroy you. I know we met for a reason and I'm glad we're healing each other. We don't have to be together—we choose each other every day. To us."
Fans on social media noted: "Erm, strange time to be posting all this. I wonder why?"
A second commented: "So many obvious 'hidden' messages."
A third added: "Ekin who?"
Ekin-Su and Davide, 30, were one of the most high-profile couples to have appeared on Love Island.
Actress Ekin, 30, first entered the villa in 2022 as a bombshell during Love Island season eight.
She began a romance with Davide, but they quickly ran into problems when she secretly kissed Jay Younger.
Davide famously accused his partner of being a "liar" and an "actress", but the pair managed to make it to the end of the show – and WIN.
The pair decided to call it quits in 2023 before briefly reconciling.
They broke up again, for the final time, in January 2024 with Ekin-Su breaking the news on Instagram.
Winning £50,000, the couple won cash and the nation's hearts before their devastating split, which rocked the nation.
The Italian heart-throb was accused of cheating with model Harriet Wilson in March 2023.
However, Davide — who is still friends with Harriet and her partner — denies the allegations.
Davide dumped Ekin-Su in June 2023 over claims she had cheated on him — but they reunited less than a month later and were spotted leaving the ITV summer party together.
The on-off couple finally called it quits for good in January last year, a month before Ekin-Su's disastrous stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
Ekin has since moved on with Curtis Pritchard in the Love Island: All Stars 2025 villa.
