KIM Kardashian is "terrified" of ex Kanye West, and "what he's capable of doing" – so the reality TV star putting in "extreme measures" to protect her kids, The U.S. Sun can report.
The Kardashians star, 44, is now making moves after the rapper dragged their eldest daughter North, 11, into the Diddy scandal with his new song.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is currently in federal prison on sex trafficking charges.
Kanye, 47, released the track LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE on X on Saturday, featuring North, Diddy's son Christian "King" Combs, and what appears to be Diddy's voice.
North, 11, makes a brief appearance showing off her vocal talents.
She can be heard rapping: "When you see me shining, then you see the light."
Kim reportedly took legal action to block the song's release.
Before Kanye decided to release the tune regardless, he shared screenshots of an explosive text exchange with Kim.
'TERRIFIED OF KANYE'
A source said: "She's terrified of Kanye and what he's capable of doing, especially when provoked, but she's also dealing with a very stubborn and headstrong 11-year-old who takes after her dad and is adamant that no one gets to tell her what to do.
"She's always known Kanye would do something so big, so unforgivable, but I think Kim fears that she's going to lose her daughter if she cuts Kanye off and bans him from seeing the kids.
"But now she has to take extreme measures to protect her kids – they already have so much security around after Kanye's 'Nazi' rants."
The U.S. Sun previously reported how Kim was "staying away" from former spouse Kanye after his sick Nazi outburst.
Sources also have said Kim ensures her kids have her own experienced security team and nannies surrounding them when they visit their dad.
KIM'S SECRET PLAN
The source continued: "Is it even safe for the kids to be around Kanye when he's making himself a target? That's what she's got to think about.
"Behind the scenes, there's been a lot building up to this point – Kim has played it carefully so far, everything is legally by the book, and they've taken such a cautious approach ensuring that Kanye has shared custody, so he's never been able to lash out.
"Kim lives in fear of Kanye, because she knows what he's capable of – she's never wanted to risk that but she is desperate to protect the kids from it all.
"She wants to make sure they can't appear on stage with him, that they can't be featured on songs with Diddy – all of that. They barely ever appear on the TV show anymore.
"North adores her father and they have a very close relationship. It's like he sees North as his heir with the musical talent, the one with the creative genius – and he's been telling her how special she is for years.
"Poor North is caught in the middle – she's only 11.
"I think Kim's just terrified that North will demand to go live with Kanye and that their relationship will crack apart under the pressure of all of this."
The Sun has gone to a spokesperson for the Kardashians for comment.
Kim's mission has been made all the more difficult after The U.S. Sun exclusively reported her trademark over North's name has expired.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal North's trademarks have actually been abandoned.
According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, one trademark for North West's name filed on March 10, 2023 is listed as "abandoned" as of March 18, 2024.
The trademark covered, "Advertising services, namely, promoting the brands, goods and services of others. Endorsement services, namely, promoting the goods and services of others. Providing information about commercial business and commercial information via the global computer network.
Retail store services featuring gifts, general consumer merchandise, apparel, apparel accessories, toys, sporting goods, beauty products, cosmetics, skincare and fragrances. Retail store services featuring hair care and hair styling products."
According to documents, the trademark was abandoned because the office did not receive within six months of the Notice of Allowance "a statement of use or request for extension of time to file a statement of use."
FIGHT FOR CUSTODY
It comes after Kanye feared Kim would file for "full custody" of their four kids.
Kanye went on yet another X rant over the weekend and blasted his former wife.
Kanye agreed in a mediation Friday not to release a previously recorded song, according to TMZ, with Kim's lawyer present.
But he then ignored her plea and posted it to X.
Kanye and Kim have shared custody of their four children; North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five.
Kim married Kanye in 2014.
They filed for divorce in 2021, and completed the settlement a year later.
A source told The U.S. Sun, "Kanye will fight Kim all the way, he and North are very close and she loves him.
"He would never want to lose custody of the kids.
"The fear is Kim may go for full custody, even though she's been very keen to keep things cordial in recent years, a lot has changed recently and she has to protect them."
