AS the saying goes, if you want a job done properly, do it yourself.
And it seems Noel and Liam Gallagher are doing just that after starting a new company to take control over a planned film about the Oasis comeback concerts.

I revealed in August that the brothers had production companies booting down their doors with huge offers.
But it looks like the pair have chosen to keep things closer to home, as they have launched business Uprise North Ltd to oversee the film's creation and distribution.
Lucky fans who managed to get a ticket for the 17-date stadium tour this summer have now been told they will be filmed at certain shows, including the gig at Croke Park in Dublin on August 17.
A source said: "Noel and Liam's fractured relationship is properly mended and they're both fully committed to this tour.
"They had endless offers from companies wanting to make and distribute their come- back film but by opening this new company, they appear to be taking total control.
"Noel and Liam set the narrative from the start on their comeback and they want to be in control of whatever happens during and after the shows.
"For them the focus remains on putting on the best show possible as Oasis.
"It has been a very long time coming and they do not want to disappoint."
Bit of jeopardy
In August I told you that streaming giants including Apple+ and Prime were keen to secure rights to the footage, with my insiders revealing that multiple bids had been put on the table.
Given the shows don't start until July 4, there is still plenty of time to weigh up the best offer.
If I was Noel or Liam, I'd be holding out until the last possible moment to sign on the dotted line.
There's nothing like a bit of jeopardy to ramp up the bidding . . .
I FIND a pint always helps when it comes to dealing with small pricks.
And it seems Yungblud agrees with me.

The punk rocker was spotted necking a Guinness as he got a new inking from Mark Mahoney.
The celebrity tattoo artist has previously worked with Angelina Jolie, David Beckham and Lana Del Ray.
Mark put a wing design on Yungblud's shoulder during a late-night session in London.
Hopefully Mark, seen with Yungblud after he finished, abstained from joining the drinking session.
There are few things more embarrassing than a rubbish tatt.
SETBACK FOR ED'S PLAY DATE
ED SHEERAN has confirmed his eighth album, Play, won't be coming quite as soon as fans may have hoped.
The Castle On The Hill singer says the record – his first since 2023's Autumn Variations – isn't due for at least another six months.

Updating his followers, Ed said: "New album, it will be in the autumn. But there will be new songs coming out very soon, very soon."
Ed has been touring the globe since April 2022 thanks to his huge Mathematics world tour.
The global trek is due to end on September 7 after three nights in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Perfect timing for the new album, Ed.
Who wants to take a break and put their feet up anyway?
KATE WINSLET was left with bruises after filming a movie sex scene with Patrick Wilson, he reckons
Aquaman actor Patrick got intimate with Titanic star Kate for 2006 romantic drama Little Children.
American Patrick told the podcast It Happened In Hollywood : "Kate was so cool and gracious and just a gamer – just like, 'Let's go for it.' There was never one awkward or weird moment. Never one. I loved it. I'm sure there were lots of bruises.
"Put it this way: I haven't done a scene like that since post- #MeToo and intimacy coordinators. I do feel a little bit like a dinosaur when it comes to those kind of love scenes."
Biz blinds Naming no names
A TELEVISION star was looking more youthful than ever when she was spotted at the Brit Awards.
The household name was showered with compliments about how good she looks and, boy, did she soak in those plaudits.
While Blanked Blanked claims her taut face and neck are down to good genes, I'm told it is actually a top-secret facelift that has turned her into a real-life Benjamin Button.
If they stuck con in front of Artist Of The Year, she would definitely be winning.
Anitta's ready to rumble
ANITTA seems to have grappled for something to wear – appearing for all the world like an MMA fighter.
The Brazilian singer, who has collaborated with Rita Ora and Madonna, wore the red and blue glittery bodysuit, with matching knee pads and gloves, for a gig in her homeland.

The performance in Sao Paulo came ahead of tomorrow's release of her Netflix documentary Larissa: The Other Side Of Anitta.
She said: "It's going to talk exactly about that – the part of me nobody knows, my true reality, my true self and me as Larissa, which is my real name, not Anitta. It's showing the real person behind the character and the image people see on stage."
IN SHARON LAND, LIFE'S HOTTING UP
SHE is one of the most in-demand women in showbiz, and Sharon Horgan is getting as much attention off screen as she is on it.
A well-placed mole told me the actress and writer, who is the genius behind my favourite BBC TV show Motherland and its brilliant spin-off Amandaland, has grown close to a new man following her split from The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess.

We revealed how the pair went their separate ways amicably earlier this year.
And now I am told that Sharon has caught the attention of Barry Ward – and has visited him on the set of his new TV drama Trespasses.
A friend told me: "Sharon is flying high in her career but her personal life is just as hot.
"After things fizzled out with Tim she caught the eye of Barry.
"They have worked on a few shows together, including Dating Amber and Bad Sisters, and they have been spending more time together recently.
"Everyone around them has commented on their chemistry, and Sharon and Barry certainly seem to be enjoying spending time together.
"Sharon is incredibly talented and is as bright as she is beautiful so it's no surprise she caught his eye."
We first revealed Sharon and Tim had become more than just good friends in 2022, having grown closer after her 2019 divorce.
But insiders told us they had chosen to go their separate ways earlier this year and have decided to remain just good pals.
Barry's new TV show, Trespasses, also stars X Files legend Gillian Anderson.
Adapted from the novel of the same name, it is a candid take on religious tensions in Northern Ireland in the Seventies.
The love story sees a Catholic teacher and Protestant solicitor fall in love, as feelings in the region become increasingly hostile.
The show is nailed on to be a huge hit and I am sure it will give Sharon some inspiration.
Sharon is currently writing a new drama for Amazon Prime.
With a schedule as busy as hers, I'm amazed she's got time to wash her hair, let alone go on a date.
ONE of my favourite fellow journalists has turned the cameras on herself.
Amelia Dimoldenberg told Cosmopolitan UK, out Friday, she wouldn't mind catching the eye of one of her famous interviewees on Chicken Shop Date.

She said: "I love dating. If you meet someone and you fancy them, what's more fun than that?"
But she added: "There's a very small pool of men that would be suitable."
I'M told Chappell Roan is more than likely to bag her first UK No1 on Friday with Pink Pony Club.
The single came out in 2020 but is racing ahead of Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us.
On Monday, Official Charts data revealed the rapper was lagging behind by 1,300 chart sales.
A TRUCE has been called within the Sex Pistols as Steve Jones says he is keen to make peace with John Lydon.
Steve, who has been on tour with Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, with Frank Carter taking on Johnny Rotten's vocals, insists he is up for the punk legend to return.

He said: "It could happen. I've got no hard feelings towards John. It might not seem like that because I've not spoken to him since 2008.
"I've been sober 34 years and I've learnt a lot about how to conduct myself. I don't want resentments – it's not healthy."
Among the band's dramas, John lost a legal action in 2021 to prevent Sex Pistols songs being featured in Danny Boyle's biographical TV series.
Steve added of their tour: "We're just having a good time.
"From doing those shows last year in England it's obvious people love it."
It's certainly food for thought for John.
